Renate is an ex-Nazi who believed in what the moon Nazi's were doing, until she got a better look at the Nazi's actions. Their mantra of "we come in peace" is not how they have been handling things now that the invasion is underway. She realizes that no one wants the Nazis to come to earth to rule, and that they are in no position to show anyone the "error of their ways".  She also realizes that Adler, her agreed upon "mate" is actually a total dick, and has no peaceful ambitions at all, but is a power hungry psychopath. She now tries to help the Nazi's enemies mainly earth.
